*Install Kes5219′s utils mod to the coremods folder. The file is a zip containing the jar to go in the coremods folder, though, so make sure you extract it. This is for the version 1.6.2 and below this.

My piano teacher Mrs. Lyu regarded it as one of her favorite pieces, passionately describing this girl of pure beauty she saw in music. I was attracted but confused: how can you “see” something (or even someone!) in something that’s heard? Back then, for me, sight and hearing were in separate worlds.
My performance of the piece was fluent and skilled, but Mrs. Lyu told me the girl of the flaxen hair was not there. I was yet to find the soul of the music. Frustrated and confused, I did some research in the hope to “see” the girl in the music.
To my surprise, after I typed the title into my search engine, an oil painting popped up beside Debussy’s piano piece. The moment I saw it, I felt it was an ideal visualization of the girl with the flaxen hair. It was named Little Irene, painted in 1880 by famous French impressionist Pierre Auguste Renoir as a portrait of Banker Cahen D’Anvers’s 8 year old daughter. Sport topwater night pack download. Painted by numerous swift and broken strokes without any distinct lines, Little Irene was representative of impressionistic style, which sought to capture the instant fluidity of light and air in the imperceptible elapses time. I re-experienced the process of Renoir’s creation of Irene as I added each stroke to the canvas. Suddenly, she was not sitting still but moving with life. I could feel sunlight dancing on her flaxen hair with each stroke of brush. As I lit up her eyes with a dip of bright paint on the brush, a light of innocence and hope unique to a little girl glittered in her eyes.
Then I suddenly understood why Debussy was known as the founder of Impressionism in music. Wasn’t the process of the painting just like the procession of the music? Notes in Debussy’s music, overlapped and interweaved on the palette of music, were just like strokes in Renoir’s painting. Both Debussy’s piano piece and Renoir’s oil painting vividly depicted the girl with the flaxen hair and captured the fluidity of light, which was the essence of Impressionism.
I finally understood the very true old saying, “music is the flowing art, art is the frozen music.” Music is in time while art is in space. Sight and hearing are separable but not separated. Both are ways in which we approach, perceive, and express the world. When I played the piece again, the girl in the painting and the girl in the music were one.
Recently, I learnt that Debussy was deeply fond of art and poetry. He once used some impressionistic paintings for covers of his music albums. In fact, his lovely prelude The Girl with the Flaxen Hair was inspired by a poem with the same title by a French poet Charles-Marie René Leconte de Lisle. Here is the first stanza of the poem:
“On the grass, sitting in flowers
Who sings since the fresh morning?
It is the maiden with the flaxen hair
The lovely one with lips like cherries.”
The poem painted a vivid image that left me with a similar impression as Little Irene. The girl with “the flaxen hair” and “lips like cherries” walked out from the lines. No wonders people call poetry “the art of words.’ As I read through the poem, painted Little Irene, and played the music piece, I felt an innocent beauty that transcended all forms. Jimi Hendrix’s third and final album with the original Experience found him taking his funk and psychedelic sounds to the absolute limit. The result was not only one of the best rock albums of the era, but also Hendrix’s original musical vision at its absolute apex. When revisionist rock critics refer to him as the maker of a generation’s mightiest dope music, this is the album they’re referring to. But Electric Ladyland is so much more than just background music for chemical intake. Kudos to engineer Eddie Kramer (who supervised the remastering of the original two-track stereo masters for this 1997 reissue on MCA) for taking Hendrix’s visions of a soundscape behind his music and giving it all context, experimenting with odd mic techniques, echo, backward tape, flanging, and chorusing, all new techniques at the time, at least the way they’re used here. What Hendrix sonically achieved on this record expanded the concept of what could be gotten out of a modern recording studio in much the same manner as Phil Spector had done a decade before with his Wall of Sound. As an album this influential (and as far as influencing a generation of players and beyond, this was his ultimate statement for many), the highlights speak for themselves: ’Crosstown Traffic,’ his reinterpretation of Bob Dylan’s ’All Along the Watchtower,’ ’Burning of the Midnight Lamp,’ the spacy ’1983..(A Merman I Should Turn to Be),’ and ’Voodoo Child (Slight Return),’ a landmark in Hendrix’s playing. With this double set (now on one compact disc), Hendrix once again pushed the concept album to new horizons.

There is an easily a usable exploit (which you probably already know about) that I would like to inform you of. There are two versions of this exploit, one is what I like to call the “Easy way” and the other is called the “Very Easy Way”.

Klei Entertainment have announced Don’t Starve: Hamlet, a new expansion for their fiendish survival game. For starters, let me give a breakdown of how this bug occurs. In shops, there is a high chance that the desk the shop keepers stand at will break (I have not narrowed down the cause of this yet). This will cause the shop keepers to act like ordinary pigs and shop keepers at the same time. They will run off to the side of their shop, and sleep when night comes. Now let’s talk about the exploits.
The first is the “Easy Way”:
This is an exploit that lets you steal numerous items in one night. When the shop keeper falls asleep, you are able to steal things, after taking as many items as you want, take an item attempt to “give” it to the shop keeper, (Such as a log). This will then wake up said shop keeper and they will restock the cases and you can continue to steal. This is nowhere near as bad as the “Very Easy Way”.
The “Very Easy Way”:
This exploit is a nasty one that can be heavily abused as soon as Day 2. Like the “Easy Way”, the “Very Easy Way” also uses shopkeepers. Here is what the exploit allows you to do, you are able to infinitely steal items throughout dusk and the night. The shop keeper will be awake however you will still have the option to steal items off the shelves, meaning that you can constantly steal items while the shop keeper constantly restocks them. You do NOT have to continuously wake the shop keeper up meaning you are able to steal much more items (I stole about 160 Tenpiece oincs in one night, this also summoned about 30 Krampuses at the same time). A while back, or was it just the other day, something incredibly weird happened to me. I woke up in a strange land and was greeted by a strange man who suddenly vanished into thin air. I looked around but all I could see was an odd assortment of plants growing in various stages around me. I tried picking some of the berries, flowers, grass and twigs I noticed simply because I could, but with no real idea of why I was doing so. After muddling around and wandering for a bit gathering up a few items and thinking I made my escape, wouldn’t you know it, the weirdness happened again. This time I crash landed ungracefully and was met by a rather large chameleon who promptly blended into the background and left me all alone yet again.
As I wandered around once more, I realized this was indeed a very strange place. There were pig creatures which appeared sentient and friendly even if they were a bit asocial. Beyond the pigs, there was a bizarre statue of a bug-like creature and beyond that was a scary looking hole in the ground. The hole was ringed with what appeared to be very sharp teeth! Since I didn’t want to suffer the same fate as Boba Fett in the Sarlacc Pit, I opted to avoid that quite obvious menace and continued my aimless trek onward. Since I was beginning to feel the tweaking’s of a steadily growing hunger, my roving’s now consisted mainly of looking to find myself something to eat.
It was beginning to get dark but I could still see well enough to explore a bit more. I was especially anxious to look around since the few berries I had found before had not really sated my hunger at all. During my search, I came across an odd box thing which I assumed was probably important so I picked it up and kept on moving. The light was fading fast by this point. Some fireflies caught my attention as they flitted around and I decided to satisfy my interest by going over to inspect them. Unfortunately, they quickly dispersed as I approached. Suddenly, without even their little gleam of light to hold back the night, darkness fell and enveloped me in a shroud of blackness. The next thing I knew, I was under a vicious attack and then, just like that, without the slightest hint of a warning, I was stone cold dead! Nope! I wasn’t having a bad dream, I was playing Don’t Starve! But not just Don’t Starve, I was playing the latest expansion Don’t Starve: Hamlet.Review
In Don’t Starve Single Player and Don’t Starve Together you start out with nothing really to your name unless you have one of the unlockable character’s special personal items. You actually have no guidance at all. You are placed in a world that hates you and wants you to just die already. If you look at the screen for a moment, you will see a few stats to track: Hunger, Sanity and Health. There are a few other stats that will make themselves better known when they apply. Hunger is fairly obvious, just like in real life, you get hungry over time. If you wait too long you will starve to death. This is pretty much the only tip the game gives you starting out, Don’t Starve. Health is another fairly easy one to understand. You get hurt, your health drops, if it hits zero, death will occur. Sanity is the most interesting stat of them all. As your Sanity goes down, your mind starts playing tricks on you. Figments of your imagination will begin to attack you, and despite not being real, they still hurt when they attack you. Surprisingly, always keeping your sanity high won’t necessarily be in your best interest either. In Adventure Mode you will encounter obelisks that raise and lower depending on your sanity. I was actually stuck at that point for a while with my real life sanity starting to drain because I had no idea how to get to the other side and I needed to get over there. This was because I had explored everywhere I could so far and my Divining Rod was pointing me in that direction. Eventually, I built a raging fire hoping I could somehow burn my way through it. It was then I left my keyboard for a moment to grab a soda. I got a little sidetracked while adventuring in real life so when I came back to the game I found my character with very low sanity and badly wounded. Guess my fire went out just before the end of the night so the darkness got me a bit. I patched myself up the best I could and much to my surprise the obelisks were gone. I walked through the gate and noticed how low my sanity was so I raised it a bit with the items I had available. The obelisk gate came back up… unfortunately, there was another gate in front of me so I had to reduce my sanity again to keep going, but… I only managed to pull through it long enough to freeze to death. This was because I had no way to make a fire due to making that massive one in my attempt to burn down the obelisks only a few minutes earlier.
If you want to survive in Don’t Starve, you will have to play smart by collecting the various things you see around you. Once you are able to, you need to access the crafting menu and begin making tools. A trusty axe will almost never steer you wrong…almost never… more on that later. Cutting down a few trees gives you logs and sometimes tree seeds. The bigger the tree, the more resources you will get. Hopefully by the time night falls you will have at the very least a couple of torches or preferably a basic fire. Any of the food sources you collected can be cooked. Cooking can do a few noteworthy things. Cooking meat will help it last longer in your inventory but cooked plants will spoil faster. Cooking mushrooms can change the effects they have on you. For example, the green mushroom caps will sap your sanity if you eat it raw but will help raise your sanity if you cook it first. You can even construct a crockpot that lets you combine items to make even better food once you have the resources. I mentioned about food spoilage so I think I should give a quick hint about what that means. Stale or spoiled food obviously isn’t as good for you as fresh food. Green bordered food is fresh. It will give full effects to you which will likely involve increasing your hunger stat and possibly even your health and sanity. Yellow bordered food is considered stale and therefore fills your hunger stat less and provides less health and no sanity. Red bordered food is spoiled. It will still give you some hunger restoration, but it will also sap your sanity. The fourth state of food is rotten. You can’t eat rotten food without penalties and there are no benefits from it. Rotten food does make good fertilizer for your farms and fuel for your fire though!
I mentioned earlier about somewhat hidden or not necessarily obvious stats. Wetness is one of those stats. When it rains, unless you have suitable protection, you will get wet. Things in your inventory will get wet as well. Wet food spoils faster and you may drop items while using them (that never happened to me but was mentioned in the wiki, and everyone knows a wikipage never lies). Another thing wetness does is make you cold. Temperature is another one of those not-so-obvious stats. If your character gets too hot or too cold they start taking health damage. In the summer you can quickly overheat and in the winter you can quickly freeze to death. There are ways to avoid both of these conditions though. There is a rock you can make which can hold warmth or cold for a while so having it in your inventory can help you survive. Various clothing and items can be fashioned as well to help deal with adverse temperatures. Equipment damage is another stat to watch for. Your equipment takes damage every time you use it and unless repaired, it will eventually break. Luckily, at least for the basic items, you can quickly make new ones. For more complicated items, you will want to have some repair kits handy to fix them up.
The last stat I would like to mention isn’t so much a stat but skill. There is something known as science in the game. You know how to make basic things from the get-go like an axe or pickaxe but more complicated things require a machine to assist in their development. For the most part, once the machine helps you make the first prototype, you will be able construct a new one on the fly without the machine nearby. There are various levels of science as well, each requiring a better machine to help you construct the prototypes. Luckily the machine tells you what you need to make the various things so you don’t have to randomly guess what will happen when you combine various items.
In this game death is permanent. You just survived 1008 days in Survival mode and died due to a living tree that spawned because he was mad that you cut down too many of his brethren to fuel your fires. Perhaps you should have replanted the forest? Too bad for you, back to day one! That is unless you found one of the pig shrines, had a Life-Giving Amulet equipped, or had a Meat Effigy available somewhere. There isn’t any undo option here. You screwed up, you died, you restart and do better next time. Your deaths are not completely in vain though; each time you die you get experience based on the number of days you survived. As you gain experience, you unlock new characters. These new characters are all unique so it isn’t just a random new skin you get like in a lot of games I could mention. Each one of them has their own benefits and drawbacks. Most characters can be unlocked through your failure (or victory). There are a few special ones you get other ways but I won’t really go into detail on them. Willow is an interesting character, she likes fire. If she gets nervous, she sets fires…that even includes in your nice wooden base…darn it Willow… that is the third crockpot I built today! If you are having difficulty surviving on your own you could always give Wendy a try. Her dead sister can really take a beating and gives as good as she gets! There are too many interesting characters to talk about them all. One of them even has the awesome power of…. balloon animals? Seriously? What good are… ouch careful with that Wes, that kind of sort of hurt a little when it exploded…

The main objective here is to explore the various biomes (themed zones) and survive to tell the tale. If you wander around long enough or find/make a Divining Rod you will find four “Things” lying around and a platform to stick them on. Doing this lets you “Win the game” so you get all the experience for the days you survived. That’s it. Pat yourself on the back. You beat the game rather than dying! You are the best! Not really…you see while this might be a little more favourable than just the sting of defeat, you actually miss the main story part of the game by winning that way and probably skipped over other major parts of the game too! While you were wandering about searching for those various “Things”, you may have encountered a strange looking doorway. Going through it, or rather being dragged helplessly through it, unlocks Adventure Mode for that world. Adventure Mode consists of basically five chapters and an Epilogue. The goal of each chapter is the same as Survival Mode. Survive, find the things, recreate the exit, leave the world and gain your experience honourably. Unlike in Survival Mode, dying doesn’t reset you back to day one, it just kicks you out of the Adventure and you have to restart it if you want to try again. Rejoice, your Survival Mode Character is still fine! Also in Adventure Mode, leaving by the “Teleportato” you reconstructed takes you to the next chapter where basically you do the same thing all over again. Even once you complete Adventure Mode you can replay it and have a different experience. This is because in a single play-through, even assuming you don’t die, you can’t actually play every possible chapter. The game randomly selects and generates four of them from the pool of available world themes. The themes can place you into a perpetual winter level where keeping warm is your biggest concern. It might spawn you on to an island chain linked only by Wormholes. Wormholes are those toothy holes in the ground I mentioned earlier that I ran away from when I first started playing. Wormholes turned out to actually be very useful for getting around even if they are a bit gross, smelly and slimy.
So you beat Adventure Mode, seen the ending, and watched the credits roll by. Can you now pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself for beating every aspect of the game? Nope! You see, back in Survival mode, you likely overlooked some weird looking rocks. Mining those rocks lets you enter the Caves. The underground caves are a hive of scum and villainy so you must be cautious. Why would you even want to enter that place? So you can advance science of course! Materials you need for higher end equipment can only found deep within the caves. It’s basically a whole new world to explore! Full of brand new creatures, new plants, new earthquakes and worm attacks! Once you have spelunked the caves and made everything you can, you are done right? Finally, it’s back-patting time? Well of course not! The light is dismally poor but you probably noticed those kinds of weird looking rocks down there again but this time they take on more of an orange hue. Mining them reveals the Ruins. This once again is a whole new world to explore! New creatures, plants, biomes, and even more stuff to craft! Oh my! So finally, it is time to congratulate yourself for surviving through all this? That you are truly the champion? Did you buy Reign of Giants? If so… you guessed it, there is still even more to do!
Reign of Giants, the first of the Downloadable Content for Don’t Starve adds, as the name implies, Giants to the world. These Giants can be found in the world when you are in the correct biome and correct season. These are boss battles! They are very challenging and will likely kill you if you attempt them while you are too underprepared or even if you are prepared and not paying enough attention! Killing them gives you great loot you can use to craft useful gear. With Reign of Giants, you can now play through all four seasons rather than just the two included in Don’t Starve. Each of these seasons brings with them their own challenges and Giants! It’s definitely a worthwhile investment if you pick up Don’t Starve.

Klei Entertainment have announced Don’t Starve: Hamlet, a new expansion for their fiendish survival game. Don’t get any silly ideas about Danish princes or William Shakespeare (though an immortal bard would be a fiendish foe), as the expansion will focus on the simple and sensible idea of a town of aristocratic pigmen.Don’t Starve Hamlet Review
For starters, let me give a breakdown of how this bug occurs. In shops, there is a high chance that the desk the shop keepers stand at will break (I have not narrowed down the cause of this yet). This will cause the shop keepers to act like ordinary pigs and shop keepers at the same time. They will run off to the side of their shop, and sleep when night comes. Now let’s talk about the exploits.
The first is the “Easy Way”:
This is an exploit that lets you steal numerous items in one night. When the shop keeper falls asleep, you are able to steal things, after taking as many items as you want, take an item attempt to “give” it to the shop keeper, (Such as a log). This will then wake up said shop keeper and they will restock the cases and you can continue to steal. This is nowhere near as bad as the “Very Easy Way”.
The “Very Easy Way”:
This exploit is a nasty one that can be heavily abused as soon as Day 2. Like the “Easy Way”, the “Very Easy Way” also uses shopkeepers. Here is what the exploit allows you to do, you are able to infinitely steal items throughout dusk and the night. The shop keeper will be awake however you will still have the option to steal items off the shelves, meaning that you can constantly steal items while the shop keeper constantly restocks them. You do NOT have to continuously wake the shop keeper up meaning you are able to steal much more items (I stole about 160 Tenpiece oincs in one night, this also summoned about 30 Krampuses at the same time). A Few Tips on Maximising AI Efficiency
*After, eg, a hunt - a colonist will butcher the animal and leave several items on the ground.
*While they may have space for 3 items, they will pick up only one piece of meat (if at all - perhaps they will decide to take the next pending task on the other side of the map).
*Select the colonist and then click the pick up three things, to fill their inventory, and then click a storage unit (domicile or whatever) to place these things.
*If there is more to carry and you choose a colonist who is not in the area, from the Activity menu (key 5) - the fact that the game zooms to them means having to re-locate the items in order to issue the command for them to collect the items on the floor.
*They will take one, then attempt to return it to storage - so you can interrupt this action by forcing the colonist to collect the maximum carry of 3 items and then ensure they take them to a storage with space (it will flash blue. If there’s no space, they’ll dump on the floor outside).
Workspaces, Tasks, Pending and Priorities
*If there is no storage space, filling a colonist’s inventory will mean they will drop the items at the place closer to ’home’ where they will, eg, grab those 2 sticks needed to finish the storage hut to store all the stuff they dropped - it will now be closer to storage, rather than half the map away - much quicker.
*When it comes to pending tasks, there doesn’t appear to be a way to reorder or raise pending task’s priority or to raise priority on workareas.
*There appears also no way to issue a command to a colonist to quickly go and grab a few sticks to finish that building (red flashing arrow, have to assign more to workspace, cancel other tasks).
*Raising the building’s priority means only that the colonists are more likely to choose to contribute to it rather than take on another pending task (seen in tasks - key 6). They won’t do this if they are involve in another task (hunting, gathering, being mauled by bears, etc..)
*To ensure a task has the highest priority of being ’next chosen by anyone who does anything’ - it’s possible to cancel all other tasks from this menu.
*A good workload in order to maximise efficiency *autonomously* using the AI’s decision making, without your intervention (except with filling an inventory for transport efficiency), is to have the workload at: 100+(2*colonists)=114% with 7 colonists.
*This is a manageable workload and will ensure the colonists are always busy but have time to attend to their needs and retain high morale (and recover from animal attacks).
*Doing all this appears to be the best way to minimise micromanagement, while allowing the AI’s decision making to perform the tasks in decent order and efficiency.
Grouping, Stockpiles and Wasted Storage Space
*If colonists become fragmented - scattered all over the map on errands - and you’d like them to all work together on something (eg, hunting that mammoth wandering through town), use the F6 alarms to bring them back to ’base’ (assuming you’re building domiciles in the same area and not using a spread out, village system).
*You can double click on an age group and it will select all on the screen - even those in houses, to whom you can issue commands such as - ’go kill that peaceful mammoth’, ’gather skulls for more totems’, ’please go up against that bear alone, grandad, because we’re over-populated’, etc..
*Kids are good for transport sprints and gathering workgroups, adults for everything - use them mostly for manual tasks - and old people for workgroups or crafting.
*Setting the stockpile limits for crafting and building resources a little high, while ensuring that - with every advance - such things as wooden spears are reduced from 50% to 0% will ensure that your colonists are always kitted out with the best gear and there is a store of crafting materials ready to use without having to go out and collect more - straight to the job at hand.
*Filling your storage with out-dated things such as wooden spears, by leaving it at 100% for population means you’ve a bunch of out-dated things sitting in storage that weren’t used. Who needs wooden spears in storage when you’re using flint or steel swords?
*One way to clear accidental out-dated stock is through the trader (or not producing any new things until all the old ones are used up), although items from previous eras depreciate a lot in value, so don’t expect much for a piece of wood and animal skins when it’s all about leather, rock and heavy metal.
*Make sure you collect everything next to the trader - they’ll turn up and dump it in a massive pile on entity #1 - the fireplace from the start, unless you’ve removed it.
Urbs and Suburbs
I haven’t tried farming and building a city or anything, because I’m looking at game function abd how it operates or might progress, rather than simply playing it.
*While it may make sense to consolidate the tribe, there’s something to be said for making several smaller communities around the map, to reduce travel times and improve defense and efficiency before resources have dwindled back to using sticks and skins again.
*This is my mining camp, it has some housing, is outside the walls, and crafter that only makes warm clothes, picks and swords for defence. Food is kept in the houses. There’s a hearth and a few totems, just to ward off bad guys.
*Down the street (a path cut through the trees), by the lake, there’s the food area that deals with curing fish and meat, The walls start here - anyone stupid enough to try raiding across the lake ends up feeding the fish.Here are a few more totems, because some people don’t go past here, so it marks the end of the world as they know it.
*Further inland, there’s the storage areas, where the mining guys take the stone as they pass the food and drink. This is also one of the main crafting areas, and surrounds a big stone that people think is important.
*That’s next to the weaponsmith, that has a storage shed full of protective garments and rocket launchers. There’s a lot of skulls here, to make sure the well is always polluted and here forms the first of the inner gates.
*Adjacent to both of these, there’s the dead centre - the spiritual hub of the urb. It’s a nice centrepiece and people wandering to and from workplaces have to go through the gate right pass it, so they keep their morale high.
*Then, there’s the housing estate. When the alarm is called - everyone books it back here and has a massive scrap around the sacrificial stone circle.
*For every few fallen enemies - another skull totem is raised next to a house, just because we’re a violent and brutal society.
*Keeps everyone happy and thirsty for blood and every idler is sent hunting or on gathering errands.
Because there are no fighting pits for entertainment, yet.

*Asymmetry: every player starts the game with different resources (energy, coins, keen combat sense, popularity…), a different starting location and a secret objective. *Strategy: Scythe offers players almost complete control over their fate. The only elements of chance apart from each player’s individual secrete objective card are the Encounter cards, which players draw to interact with the citizens of newly explored lands. Combat is also handled by way of choice; no luck or chance is involved.
*Engine Building: Players can improve their construction abilities to become more efficient, build structures that improve their position on the map, enlist new recruits into their faction, activate mechs to dissuade opponents from invading and expand their borders to reap greater types and quantities of resources. This aspect creates a feeling of energy and progression over the course of the entire game. The order in which players get to develop their economy and technologies adds to the unique feel of every game, even when playing as the same faction several times.

Basically, you take it in turns to try to do untold harm to each other’s miniarmy of four worms. And the last one left with any live worms is the winner. Disappointingly. I for lovers of real-life worm-mutilation, the penknife does not feature among the weapons. Worms is a strategy game with a difference.. it appeals to the dark side of human nature. Basically you control your four worms and are at war with up to 3 other teams. You must try and use the weapons at your disposal in the best possible way - or at least to the most devastating effect.
Lots of people will emerge with countless different strategies, but the basic strategy is that you must protect your worms whilst causing as much pain to the other team(s) as possible.
Worms also differs in that it doesn`t take long before people start feeling very close to their little pink chums - you start to feel for them as they are blown away and you very soon start to exact revenge on rival teams at any attempt to kill your beloved team.

Tupac Amaru Shakur was the son of two Black Panthers members, who split before his birth. Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, called him Lesane Parish Crooks at birth, concealing their kin in fear for his life, as Black Panthers had many foes. Only at the age of three months the boy was called by his real name in honor of Indian Tupac Amaru II, who lead the riot of Inks against Spanish invaders and was later convinced to death. Tupac’s childhood consisted of constant travels along the USA; his family had problems with the law and lived in poverty. Being a teenager, Shakur managed to enter the prestigious Baltimore School For The Arts, where he studied jazz, ballet and acting, performing in Shakespeare’s plays. However, Tupac did not finish the school as he had to move again with the family because of his mother’s drug-addiction. So he came to Marin City, California. There he went to the Tamaplais High School, but dropped out. In 1990, Shakur got acquainted with the members of the rap band Digital Underground, becoming their back-up dancer.

Soon Tupac not only danced, but also rapped with the Digital Underground on their disc, composing his own debut work in spare time. At the end of 1993, the rapper organized the Thug Life band out of his friends, with whom he managed to record only one album Thug Life Vol. 1. Later he was accused of attacking two police officers, but again found not guilty.
However, soon he was accused of a sexual abuse and sentenced to 4 years and a half in jail. Tupac listened to the verdict, sitting in a wheel chair, as he did not heal yet after the recent armed robbery. The artist was attacked at the studio lobby and shot five times – twice in his head. Being in a prison, Shakur released his third disc Me Against The World, which became the first album in the world that became the chart leader, while its author served his prison sentence. In his prison cell Shakur read a lot, including Machiavelli, Sun Tsu and other political philosophers, writing his own film script. Being in jail, he also married to his long-time girlfriend Keisha Morris, but this marriage was annulated later. After 7 months of imprisonment, the Death Row Records director put a bail for Shakur, agreeing with the rapper that he would make a contract with the studio for three discs in return. Tupac gathered a new band Outlawz, with which he recorded the first double album in rap history All Eyes On Me. The disc titled The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory became the darkest work ever by Tupac and was issued after his murder. The artist died of the wounds in the hospital. Bruce Springsteen is one of the most well-known American musicians of our time. His songs, famous for lyrics devoted to the struggles of daily life, are often described as «heartland rock». Springsteen has sold over 120 million albums worldwide, including 65 million in the U.S, and earned numerous awards for his work – eighteen Grammy Awards, two Golden Globes, an Academy Award and much more. He is also noted for supporting various charity organizations.
Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen was born on September 23, 1949 in Long Branch, near New Jersey. He decided to become a musician at the age of seven after seeing one of the Elvis Presley’s performances. At 13, he learned to play guitar, and at 16 he was already a frontman of the band known as The Castiles. In late 1960-s he started to perform in clubs in New Jersey as part of the trio Earth. At this time he got his famous nickname «The Boss» because he was on the task of collecting the band’s pay and distributing it among his bandmates. Springsteen himself never liked this name. Bruce Springsteen signed his first album contract in 1972. He called upon many of his friends, they formed E Street Band and recorded album Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. (1973). It featured folk rock-rooted music and intricate lyrics, so Springsteen was compared to Bob Dylan. Record got critical acclaim but no commercial success, as long as the second album The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle (1973).
Next record Born To Run became Springsteen’s last chance to release a commercially successfull album. After 14 month of work spent on it, Born To Run received massive acclaim and made E Street Band popular. But then a legal battle with former manager Mike Appel kept Springsteen out of the studio for over several years, so next album Darkness On The Edge Of Town was released only five years later. It was much different from Springsteen’s previous works – music became more fluent and refined, while lyrics were telling about social and political problems. Next record, double album The River (1980), was made in the same manner and devoted to working-class life. The River was followed by the acoustic album Nebraska (1982) that Springsteen recorded solo, without E Street Band. It is said that U2’s disk The Joshua Tree was inspired by this record.
Following album Born In The U.S.A. (1984) became Bruce Springsteen’s most successfull record to date, selling 15 million copies in the U.S. alone. The title track, which was telling the bitter story about the treatment of Vietnam veterans (based on the real stories of some Springsteen’s friends), is still one of the most controversial songs in America. Springsteen himself turned down several million dollars offered by Chrysler Corporation for using the song in a car commercial. Next album Tunnel Of Love (1987) was far more sedate and less social-themed. This «social» period of career ended for Springsteen after dissolving E Street Band in 1989. In 1992 Bruce Springsteen moved to Los Angeles and released two albums at once – Human Touch and Lucky Town. Both of them were telling about his inner feelings. In 1994 Springsteen received his only Academy Award for the song Streets Of Philadelphia which was used in a movie Philadelphia. Next year Springsteen recorded new album The Ghost Of Tom Joad, inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Dale Maharidge’s book Journey To Nowhere.
Springsteen reunited with E Street Band in 2000 for a huge tour and new album The Rising (2002). The album, mostly a reflection on the September 11 attacks, was a critical and popular success. Next album, acoustic record Devils & Dust (2005), featured songs written almost ten years earlier. It was followed by folk album We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions (2006). Next disk Magic (2007) was also very successful. At the same time, Springsteen took hands on Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Springsteen’s sixteenth studio album Working On A Dream was released in the end of January 2009. In 2010 the singer’s discography was enlarged by wonderful compilation album The Collection 1973-1984. That record included one of the best Bruce’s songs that had been time-honored and deserved the title of rock music classics. Tupac Amaru Shakur was the son of two Black Panthers members, who split before his birth. Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, called him Lesane Parish Crooks at birth, concealing their kin in fear for his life, as Black Panthers had many foes. Only at the age of three months the boy was called by his real name in honor of Indian Tupac Amaru II, who lead the riot of Inks against Spanish invaders and was later convinced to death. Tupac’s childhood consisted of constant travels along the USA; his family had problems with the law and lived in poverty. Being a teenager, Shakur managed to enter the prestigious Baltimore School For The Arts, where he studied jazz, ballet and acting, performing in Shakespeare’s plays. However, Tupac did not finish the school as he had to move again with the family because of his mother’s drug-addiction. So he came to Marin City, California. There he went to the Tamaplais High School, but dropped out. In 1990, Shakur got acquainted with the members of the rap band Digital Underground, becoming their back-up dancer.

Soon Tupac not only danced, but also rapped with the Digital Underground on their disc, composing his own debut work in spare time. It was titled 2Pacalypse Now and saw light in 1992, making a lot of noise with the single Brenda’s Got A Baby. Many public faces criticized sharply his edgy and colorful texts. At the same time Shakur proved to be an extremely gifted actor, making his debut appearance in Juice picture by Ernest Dickerson. His second full-length Striclty 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. followed soon and rocketed with the hits I Get Around and Keep Ya Head Up. Around the same time Tupac got serious problems with the law. For the beginning, he was accused of a murder. The reason was that Shakur and his friends were attacked, they started shooting with the attackers and as a result, a child-bystander was killed. Shakur was found not guilty. In the summer of 1993, Tupac was sentenced to 15 days in jail for assaulting the director during film shooting. At the end of 1993, the rapper organized the Thug Life band out of his friends, with whom he managed to record only one album Thug Life Vol. 1. Later he was accused of attacking two police officers, but again found not guilty.
However, soon he was accused of a sexual abuse and sentenced to 4 years and a half in jail. Tupac listened to the verdict, sitting in a wheel chair, as he did not heal yet after the recent armed robbery. The artist was attacked at the studio lobby and shot five times – twice in his head. Being in a prison, Shakur released his third disc Me Against The World, which became the first album in the world that became the chart leader, while its author served his prison sentence. In his prison cell Shakur read a lot, including Machiavelli, Sun Tsu and other political philosophers, writing his own film script. Being in jail, he also married to his long-time girlfriend Keisha Morris, but this marriage was annulated later. After 7 months of imprisonment, the Death Row Records director put a bail for Shakur, agreeing with the rapper that he would make a contract with the studio for three discs in return. Tupac gathered a new band Outlawz, with which he recorded the first double album in rap history All Eyes On Me. The disc titled The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory became the darkest work ever by Tupac and was issued after his murder. The artist died of the wounds in the hospital. Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen was born on September 23, 1949 in Long Branch, near New Jersey. He decided to become a musician at the age of seven after seeing one of the Elvis Presley’s performances. At 13, he learned to play guitar, and at 16 he was already a frontman of the band known as The Castiles. In late 1960-s he started to perform in clubs in New Jersey as part of the trio Earth. At this time he got his famous nickname «The Boss» because he was on the task of collecting the band’s pay and distributing it among his bandmates. Springsteen himself never liked this name. Bruce Springsteen signed his first album contract in 1972. He called upon many of his friends, they formed E Street Band and recorded album Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. (1973). It featured folk rock-rooted music and intricate lyrics, so Springsteen was compared to Bob Dylan. Record got critical acclaim but no commercial success, as long as the second album The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle (1973).
Next record Born To Run became Springsteen’s last chance to release a commercially successfull album. After 14 month of work spent on it, Born To Run received massive acclaim and made E Street Band popular. But then a legal battle with former manager Mike Appel kept Springsteen out of the studio for over several years, so next album Darkness On The Edge Of Town was released only five years later. It was much different from Springsteen’s previous works – music became more fluent and refined, while lyrics were telling about social and political problems. Next record, double album The River (1980), was made in the same manner and devoted to working-class life. The River was followed by the acoustic album Nebraska (1982) that Springsteen recorded solo, without E Street Band. It is said that U2’s disk The Joshua Tree was inspired by this record.
Following album Born In The U.S.A. (1984) became Bruce Springsteen’s most successfull record to date, selling 15 million copies in the U.S. alone. The title track, which was telling the bitter story about the treatment of Vietnam veterans (based on the real stories of some Springsteen’s friends), is still one of the most controversial songs in America. Springsteen himself turned down several million dollars offered by Chrysler Corporation for using the song in a car commercial. Next album Tunnel Of Love (1987) was far more sedate and less social-themed. This «social» period of career ended for Springsteen after dissolving E Street Band in 1989. In 1992 Bruce Springsteen moved to Los Angeles and released two albums at once – Human Touch and Lucky Town. Both of them were telling about his inner feelings. In 1994 Springsteen received his only Academy Award for the song Streets Of Philadelphia which was used in a movie Philadelphia. Next year Springsteen recorded new album The Ghost Of Tom Joad, inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Dale Maharidge’s book Journey To Nowhere.
Springsteen reunited with E Street Band in 2000 for a huge tour and new album The Rising (2002). The album, mostly a reflection on the September 11 attacks, was a critical and popular success.
